windows xp problem

what do you mean by delete everything? you mean the operating system or the contents of the partition? XP has a reinstall option or a repair option if you have the proper cds or net access.
Sounds like you have a problem with some content?

Hi is there a way to reinstall windows xp so it deletes everything and
starts again without formatting my hard drive

- Buy a new hard drive
- Boot from CD and DELTREE /y *.*
- FDISK - delete all partitions

....none of those use format
