work anymore cause he wiped it out of my system. i want
to go back to my windows me ( as xp pro is causing to
many problems with my resources) and have the hp reboot

You didn't get a restore CD with your computer? Most of them come with the
restore disk on the second partition of the hard drive, but you may have
gotten lucky and have one. Sounds like your shop deleted your restore
partition. Try checking with HP and see if you can get a restore disk from
them. Not likely but worth a try. Compaq used to offer restore disks at one
time, not sure about HP. If none of these work, you'll have to bite the
bullet and buy a copy of ME. I personally would never in a million years go
back to W98 and ME was a worse/buggier OS than 98. XP does a much better
job of handling resources than ME, maybe you just need to add some memory
if things are running slow.

The tech probably meant the Old boot disk was no good because it was
for the older OS, Not XP. Same as saying your cassete tapes aren't any
good any more because you have a CD player now. But, As you want to
revert back to the old OS, You just need to follow the HP instructions
on using the old boot disk
