I ahave Windows Xp Pro (on a FAT32 formatted drive) and i
was wondering what i could do with it to make my computer
more secure with its own integrated features. I've heard
it had a built in firewall, how would i activate it.

From the Windows XP Help and Support Center (an excellent
resource which you should get into the habit of using--just press
F1 at the desktop):
1.. Open Network Connections
2.. Click the Dial-up, LAN or High-Speed Internet connection
that you want to protect, and then, under Network Tasks, click
Change settings of this connection.
3.. On the Advanced tab, under Internet Connection Firewall,
select one of the following:
a.. To enable Internet Connection Firewall (ICF), select the
Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access
to this computer from the Internet check box.

However, XP's firewall is not the best choice. It only monitors
incoming attempts at intrusion, and is not very configurable.
Instead I recommend the freeware ZoneAlarm.

Hi Ken

You said: Instead I recommend the freeware ZoneAlarm.
Would you please give more details as to where can I find
freeware ZoneAlarm.

Many thanks
