Window's won't boot. I get a black screen with a white blinking underscore. I followed the windows repair steps (reseting the BIOS to boot of CD, and booting of the Windows cd to attempt a repair), however, the process needs a Windows product key to complete and unfortunately in along with everything except the original cd was accidentaly thrown away. Is there anyway I will be able to complete the repair without a product key? I have a new version of windows with the product key if there is anyway I can use this copy of Windows to repair and/or install while preserving all of my files. Preserving my files is most important!
I was also prompted for a disk when I started going through the Windows repair process but I don't have that (as stated above) is there anywhere I can download what would be on that disk and make it myself?

If OEM copy contact supplier, if retail contact MS for new disk/key
