Windows XP Pro Version CD Key

I have a Laptop that has no back-up and I would like to know if there is a
way that I can tell what Ver of XP the CD Key is for, be it Service Pack 2 or
what have you, anyone know how I can find this information out?

Service pack level doesn't enter the equation if you're talking about
product keys.

The fastest way to find out what version of XP you are currently running
on your laptop (i.e., Home or Professional -- and even which Service
Pack level) is by doing the following:

Start | Run
Type "winver" (without the quotes)
Press enter

If you are concerned your laptop is not running the version of Windows
you have a license for, simply look at the Product ID on the Certificate
of Authenticity sticker on the bottom of the laptop. Then compare it to
the information found here:
