Windows XP Pro SP-1 broke by USB ports!

This is definately an issue with SP-1. I removed the
service pack and my USB ports worked again. Thinking that
there might have been an error the first time, I
reinstalled SP-1 and my USB root hubs were again broken.
Everything looks fine in hardware configuration. I'm
running a Dell Inspiron 5100 Laptop. Stay away from Sp-
1! It doesnt seem to do anything but cause problems!!!
 
SP1 works perfectly on my Dell Inspiron 8200.
Apparently, you have other issues with your 5100.

No, its brand new and works fine until I install SP-1,
then the usb stops working. Its an issue with SP-1, not
with my computer.
 
Hi, try re-installing SP1 and the delete all the USB hubs in device manager
then rebooting the PC.....
