My sons have come over and used my computer, using MSN Messenger. One
of my friends also did the same thing. Now, since then, every time I log on,
my
user account tells me that I have X-number of unread e-mails. When I click
on
it, it tells me how many are in both of my sons and my friend's account as
well
as mine. I do not like this function at all and find it ANNOYING. Is there a
way
I could turn this off? I am running Windows XP Professional.

Overview of the Mail Notification Display on the Windows XP
Welcome Screen

Unread Mail listed on the Welcome Screen

Using TweakUI is probably the simplest way to disable this
feature:

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP

Good luck

I found it, I tried it, and it worked.
Then I read the part about the TweakUI,
which I already have, in LOGON/Unread Mail
and disabled it from there for all users.

Thankyou very much!
