Windows XP Pro better suited than Home for secure networking?

I currently have two lan networks (5 stations each, different physical locations) connected through a VPN router at both ends with a IP DNS service between the two networks. We are up grading one of our stations - the one, which holds all our accounting and job cost data and other proprietary information. Since security is a concern I am wondering if we should install pro on the this new station, uncheck simple file sharing and set stricter permissions for access to this machine both from the local lan and remote lan? Or in your opinion is home additon with simple file sharing and those permissions good enough?
I already have one machine with pro and are in the process of learning the security (Mastering Window XP) but not fully informed. There is alot to pay attention to once you turn off simple file sharing. The promachine is used mainly for central data storage for nonaccounting documents. I also have XP pro on my lap top, which I move between both networks (simple file sharing). And... Thanks very much- this tread info is great reading.

I always recommend Pro over Home for business users.

Home - leave it there.

If you have anything more complicated than what most people have at home, Pro
is much better for networking. Also, if you are sharing files/printers out,
Home will only give you 5 connections, where Pro will do 10 (you need Server
to go higher).
