Hello all:

I am just wondering if anyone can help me with my problem.

I have just recently upgraded my computer, and now I am having an issue
with my keyboard.

I installed all the drivers that came with my new motherboard, etc.
But, ever since my upgrade when I first start my PC, my keyboard
doesn't work. After I reboot it works fine. It is a bit annoying, but
it's not the end of the world.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks!

Try downloading the drivers from the mfg web site,or windows update
catalog.If youve tried that,open device mgr,expand the keyboard tree,select,
uninstall, then restart computer.XP will reinstall on restart.

Ok, thanks for the suggestion, I was really hopeful. but, it didn't
work. I have tried to find an updated driver, but no luck...the driver
that is installed in about 3 years old. I have installed the most
current software from microsoft (microsoft natural multimedia keyboard)
but that doesn't help either.

Anything else that you know might help?

Thanks again!

Is the keyboard USB or PS/2? Have you installed the motherboard chipset
drivers?

I seen this before and I was only able to solve it by doing a "Clear BIOS".
This of course erase toe BIOS/CMOS settings and I needed to re-enter the
setting manually but it did solve my problem.
