Can someone maybe offer a solution to this problem. HP's online support was not to helpful.

I am currently running a dual boot system of Win 98 and Win XP Pro, Everything is working fine in both systems except for this one issue. I have an HP officejet 600 all in one printer. I have the latest HP officjet manager software loaded on both systems and it installed fine with no errors. Everthing is great on Win 98. no problems. On Win XP however, everytime I boot into XP, the printer/fax settings reset back to the HP factory default settings. This is causing a problem with receiving faxes because the factory default is auto answer on 2 rings when my answering machine is set for 4 rings. I have used the HP fax wizard repeatedly to set the # of rings to 5 and I tried 6 also. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software. All my connections are fine and in the right place. (this is sort of verfied by the fact that I have no problems at all in Win 98). This seems to be an xp and hp problem. I searched HP's site high and low and cannot come up with a fix for this. I tried to email this problem to their support group but after typing all the information, you get an email support dosen't exit error. It would be nice if they told you that before you typed everything out. Hopefully somebody can offer a suggestion for this.

Thanks.
