Windows XP Pro and AVG anti-virus

I have just installed WINDOWS XP PRO.
I have AVG Anti Virus 7.0.344
It runs most of the time... but after switching between user accts.. it
shuts off the EMAIL scanner. Everything else is still enabled.
Anyone know why this happens? the fix? I have updated the latest.

Configure AVG email scanner properties in the second account.
