First - is this the proper forum for this type of question?

Second - has anyone been successful in running Windows XP on a Dell
PowerEdge 1850? If yes, any issues?

You can run XP on the PowerEdge but the only issue I had was that Dell does
not have XP drivers for the components. Since the PowerEdge is a "server",
they only provide drivers for server grade operating systems like Windows
Server 2003.
