Crashes whenever I try to do anything with spanish text.
If I insert text, it crashes. If I change from regular
to italic, it crashes. over and over and over. The
adVice to reinstall xp in THE ERROR WINDOW is worthless --
- it takes hours to do that ---& xp came installed with
computer anyway -- so can't do it.
Does anyone know a hot fix for this problem. On tools I
checked the box that said don't check spelling and
grammar SINCE i AM WORKING WITH TWO-LANGUAGE DOCUMENTS.
nOTHING WORKS!!!!
wHAT i NEED IS A HOT-PATCH WORKAROUND FOR THIS.
THANKS

Do you use the CAPSLOCK key as freely in these documents as you did here?

Although Windows XP may have come pre-installed - did Office? And even if
it did, is there an Office CD you got with it? If so, uninstall and
reinstall Office. That MAY fix your problem.

You also may want to post this question in one of the newsgroups with the
Microsoft Office experts. It is possible this is a Windows XP problem, but
sounds like an OFFICE issue.

From what I've heard at other forums Office 2000 is "not
made for XP".
Use Office XP instead.
Great if you bougth Office 2000 & then XP. It mean more
money out of your pocket to Bill's!
I have both Office 2000 & Works 6.0 in my PC.
When running Word I always have to qiut 3 times & say no
thanks to saving "The template" that was changed.
I did not change any template!?

Stupid Bill!

The "rumors" you heard were incorrect.
I have installed and used Office 97, Office 2000, Office XP and the Betas of
the Next Office successfully on Windows XP systems. I have even had
customers with Office 97, Office 2000 and Office XP on the SAME Windows XP
system at the same time. No issues.

As usual - most problems are PEBKAC related.
