Hello-
I'd like your help on that puzzlement.
Ok, I have the OEM Windows XP 1a - distribution only with a new PC.
I installed this windows XP 1a without problem. However, at windows start
up - it kept asking for passwords which I haven't input at all. So, I end up
re-formatting the hard drive to re-install the windows XP. However, this
time - this disc is not installing at all. It just doesn't show that it's a
system disc. Or, CD-RW drive doesn't run on that disc even though other
bootable CD (different OS) are working just fine on that drive.
I'm baffled by that. I even wiped out the harddrive, re-partitioned,
re-formatted, and even installed the system files and CD drivers so they'll
recognize the CD-ROM but to no luck. It doesn't acknowledge this OEM disc
even if it acknowledged other CDs.
What can I do to resolve that maddening puzzle?
Thanks!
