Hi:
I have an HP Photosmart P1000 printer that is 'new' (just out of the box but
I've had it a few years). I followed KB302991 and successfully got the
printer working by installing the Deskjet 970c driver. The problem -
everytime I boot up, Windows informs me it's found a new device (the P1000),
and takes me to a window to look for the driver. Is there a way to stop
this? Can I somehow have Windows recognize the link between the 970 driver
and the P1000 printer, so it stops identifying the new device?
Any help would be appreciated... Thanks.
