windows xp not reconizing microsoft wireless optical mouse

Every time I start up computer it tells me no mouse,
however the mouse does work. Its as Microsoft wireless
cptical mouse. So I have to hit enter to enable the
computer to finish start up. Help please.

Is you base station connected to an USB port? If so, go into BIOS, and
enable Legacy USB support, or connect the base station to your PS/2 ports.
