I've just repaired my Windows XP install and when Windows
XP loads and brings me to my desktop, in My Computer, my
second hard drive is not being detected and my CD ROM
drive is not being detected as well, this has just
started to occur after I repaired my Windows XP install,
I have Windows XP Home Edition. I went into the BIOS and
my BIOS does detect the second hard drive and the CD ROM
drive but for some reason, XP isn't. Could someone help
me? The second drive has very vital files that deals with
my business and I need to use the second hard drive. I
also definatly need the CD ROM drive to install things in
Windows XP.

Please help me.

Thanks.

clcik start then r/clcik my computer, select manage, then expand 'storage'
and click disk management. Is you disk showing? If not click action (at the
top) and then rescan disks.

If it is showing, is it showing as 'online' and does it have a drive letter.
Both of these settings can be changed by right clicking either the disk or
the label to the left (disk1 basic etc)
