I had a high speed isp and we used a network card and
router to access the internet. The isp went out of
business so we had to go back to a dial up internet
access connection. When we did, we lost the capability
of networking our computers. I have tried to set up a 3
computer network but for some reason XP does not
automatically give each connection an IP address. When I
try to fix this problem, the instruction do not fit what
I am trying to do. For example, In "network task" the
instructions say to click "change settings of this
connection" and on the "Advanced" tab click "Allow other
network users to connect through this computers internet
connection" does not exist on my advanced page. I'm sure
that this problem has something to do with the fact that
we no longer use the network connection to access the
internet.
