Windows XP mouse pointer speed too slow

I am currently trying to get a Microsoft optical mouse to
behave the same as it has with Windows 2000 or Windows NT
with Intellipoint software loaded. I know that the way
Windows XP works with Mice has been revised over the
previous versions mentioned, but is there a way to get
the pointer to move quicker than the maximum setting?
This would not be so much of a problem without dual
monitors but it is a pain having to move your hand so far
to get from one monitor to another. Any help with this
would be much appreciated.

regards
Ryan

Did you go to Control Panel, Mouse, etc?

Yes. Pointer speed is set to Fast with pointer precision
turned off to allow for the quickest pointer speed
available. My problem is that a few Autocad users are
used to highly senesitive mouse settings so they can move
between multiple monitors easier. Previously with Windows
NT and Windows 2000 the mouse speed was extremely quick.
Now in Windows XP it seems as slow as a snail to them. I
have noticed that the registry key that is modified when
changing the pointer speed is located HKCU --> Control
Panel --> Mouse --> MouseSpeed

Any help would be much appreciated. Remove nospam_ to
