Windows XP missing files

I seem to be missing some XP files and it is asking me for Windows XP home
edition service pack 2 cd but never got this with the computer - ?was already
loaded in and when I checked for replacement via microsoft couldn't find
anything. One of the files I'm missing is ksuser.dll. Appreciate any help.
