Windows XP Memory

After I open a program (it works right) and close it, it will not open again.
I use the task manager and see under proccess that the program did not dump
out of memory. I close the proccess manual and the program will open and
work right then. Does anyone have an idea why the programs are staying in
memory after closing them?

What "programs"?

If they are not cleaning up after themselves - your "it works right" might
be giving them credit for something that is not true. ;-)

I cannot guess what program you're talking about and my ouija board
could not tell me either. If this program has technical support I
suggest you contact it.

It is getting to be several programs such as Frontpage, Total 3d Home, Corel
Pro shop X2 and others. Due to the volume of programs doing it that did not
do it in the past I felt the problem was in windows or memory.

That might work... if you're running NT4. Windows 2000 and later
doesn't use this setting.
