windows xp memory cookies

My computer does not seem to have the memory cookies
enabled. I would like to know how to find them and
possibly enable them. I would also appreciate knowing if
I could reinstall xp by using the xp rom or would I be
causing problems with my computer?

If using Internet Explorer, TOOLS menu|OPTIONS|PRIVACY tab.

You could, but the first question to ask is why do you feel it necessary
to reinstall?
