I have Windows XP Home Edition on my Compaq with a CD/CDRW, and a DVD that
are orginal hardware and a MADDog CD/RW/DVD external. Downloaded the upgrade
from the MS Windows official site, the Windows Media Player from V9 to V10.
It now advises no CD or DVD burner has been detected, Press F5 to refresh the
player, which I have done. I have checked the properties and it advises the
hardware is there and connected and is working normally all through the
troubleshooting process. V9 worked correctly. As far as I can tell the rest
of V10 works correctly. I have ripped several CD's and copied to playlists
with no problem.

Any suggestions?
