windows XP media center !

I got a situation .... the media center prog. provides an option to
download a TV guide from zap to it .com ... yet the system I'm dealing
with will not allow the auto connection to work ! Not able to download
the guide data !

have added norton internet security ( personal firewall ) I am able to
log online and I am able to watch live TV yet the media center prog
will not retreive the guide data !

little help please !
