I am using windows xp and these days it cost a long time to load the windows. Every time I start my computer. About 4 minutes. I didn't install any software except Joy fax software on my computer these days. However, Joyfax Server works OK, and I am sure it doesn't have a virus.
Can any one help??

Hi Lala,

I can recommend few steps.

1. First go to Task bar and check if any process is taking high CPU consumption.
2. If you suspect or if its recognizeable please try to stop the process and check
3. Try to download Ccleaner 3.X version and try to run
4. Also try scan with antivirus scan at boot process like AVAST Home. Freeware
5. Try Enable pagefile clearing at shutdown so this can reduce boot and startup time to do so please follow this

Run – Regedit- HKEY_Local_MACHINE- system – currentcontrolset – control- session manager – click on Memory management - Rightclick on clearpagefileonshutdown - click on modify - setvalue to "0"

Regards
Chris

Windows XP automatically indexes files to make searching faster. This can cause major slowdowns and is often not required. If you don’t use search often, immediately disable it by following these steps.

Click Start->Setting-> Control Panel.

Inside Control Panel windows double click on Add/Remove programs.

Click on Add/Remove Component.

Uncheck Indexing.
