Windows XP lanmanserver autodisconnect problem

J

John Smith

Hi,

I have set my network shares to allow only 2 users at time and I would like
to disconnect all idle connections as soon as possible.

I know there is a registry option

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters\autodisconnect

and I have tried to set it to 0 and 1. But it seems as if they don't change
anything because on the

"Comupter Management -> Shared Folders -> Sessions"-tab

the Idle Time goes over 1 minute and clients still stay connected.

I have booted my computer after altering those registry settings but it
doesn't help.

So where is the problem?

Regards,
faba
