I bought my laptop in Tokyo. I can read and speak
Japanese but it still is a problem for me when I work
with my laptop's primary language (windows etc) is
Japanese. I was wondering if it is possible to change
the interface into English, without installing English
programs. Is it possible to do this by just clicking on
options? You see, I am not really good with computers so
maybe anyone out there can tell me how to do this being a
computer idiot that I am.

Thanks so much.

There is generally a price to be paid for trying to get a good deal buying
from countries that have a differing native language from one's own.. you
will have to install an english OS and programs to be able to overcome your
present problem.. then add the price of the software to the price already
paid for the laptop..

One cannot change the basic language of Windows XP.
You'll have to purchase the "full version" of Windows XP
in your desired language, reformat your hard drive, then
install the new language version "clean".

Cannot Upgrade or Install a Different Language Version of Windows XP
