Desperado

I had the windows xp in my computer, but I had to go back
to windows 98, so now I want to install windows xp again
but I´ve try (I only have recovery CD)and I cound not
install. I have another pc that has windows xp and with
that I have the CD full versoin.
Can I install that (insted do it with the recovery cd)
and whem ask for the KEY can I use the key for the
windows xp I had there before i windows windows 98.

No, not if you want to keep using it on the other PC. Did the recovery CD
come with the computer on which you are trying to install it. If not, that
is the problem as it is tied to the original computer and cannot be used on
this one. If it did come with this computer, you need to contact the
manufacturer's tech support to find out how to properly implement their
recovery routine.

If Windows 98 was not on the computer originally, that could be the issue,
the recovery CD may not recognize the setup with 98 installed or may be
designed to work only with a blank hard drive, again, you'll need to check
your documentation or the manufacturer's tech support.

It's unusual to have an XP Recovery CD for a system on which Windows 98 is
installed.
