I have the slowest computer so I thought if I got a
memory added it would improve, well not much changed. I
got aol 9 and there isn't enough oomph to keep it on. All
the applications and places I visit are slow, and I think
I need more power. I recently installed 256MB from"KBYTE
because my printer couldn't even work until I installed
it. What am I doing wrong? And should I get another KBYTE
thing for it? I'm new at computer stuff. I havent had
this for even a year. Please offer any help you can.

Michele;
Run an updated virus scan.
Or Scan for Viruses online:
http://security.symantec.com/ssc/home.asp?j=1&langid=ie&venid=sym&plfid=23&pkj=IRLFIZTYMWPAZTJWUFJ
Run Disk Cleanup checking all boxes except "Compress old files"
(Windows XP)
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Clean-up
Run Defrag.

If you have file sharing software such as Kazaa, disable it.
Check this link:

Run Ad-Aware (free version) or Spybot to check for spyware:
http://www.lavasoft.de/ (Update if you already have it)
Or
