Windows XP is too slow after convert HDD FAT32 to NTFS

Hi, I converted my hdd partition from FAT32 to NTFS with convert.exe but
after that my computer is too slow and this is the only change that I made.

Probably because you now have 512 byte clusters instead of the 4K ones
you should have. If you had asked here before converting, I would have
told you to first read and follow http://aumha.org/win5/a/ntfscvt.htm

What should you do now? You can try using Partition Magic to convert
back to FAT32 and then follow the instructions in the link above. But
there's no guarantee that will work. You might have to backup your
data, then reformat and reinstall Windows XP from scratch, starting
out with NTFS.
 
I have not heard of what "Ken Blake" was talking about in his post but
it may turn out to be the only way to sort out your problem.

However, after I converted an installation, it too was very slow to
begin with. Running 'Disk Defragmenter' on the system drive sorted the
problem out in that case, maybe it will do the same for you?

The conversion process does create a lot of fragmented files. Defrag the
disk and report back here on the speed results.
