windows xp install disk

i have a laptop and it has win xp it seems something happened about 1 month
ago or so and then when i shut and would restart some files would move or
just dissappeare and now i see the blue screen alot, win32 and kernel are
the2 that pop up on blue screen, so i went to reload win agian and i recieve
a message that my disk will not work due to to many repeats or something like
that. is their a way to fix all this or do i have to go buy a new disk or
somebody please help me
