You would be better to leave them alone, "Do not
uninstall", you can how ever remove the entries in the
registry if you are a fussy person and if your computer
appears to operate ok. Start>Run, type: regedit, hit
enter, go to,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current
Version\Uninstall, scroll and look for the entries and
right click and delete. This will only remove the entries
from the "Add\Remove Programs" list, it does
not "Uninstall" them. Also in the X:\Windows folder you
can delete the folders safely "$NTUninstallQ.....$".
Note: Do this only if the Computer\Operating System is
running smoothly. Otherwise you may not be able to
uninstall these fixes if there is a problem.

Hi

What is the thinking behind your posting advising that those Registry entries can be deleted?

Will

Maybe, people like to keep a neat house. I did not tell
them to do it, I said "if you are a .........", you can
do this. I meant no harm. Im sure that even in the year
2003, people still can make their own decisions? Good or
Bad.

Of course they can, but you're suggesting to people they make a bad one.

What if some app or utility looks for those registry entries to determine
whether you have such-and-such hotfix installed, and will refuse to install
until you do so? What if you're a remote admin and you're trying to
determine who's got what fixes on your LAN in order to plan some software
deployment?
