I am unable to get more than 3 computers to map a network drive to a Windows
XP Home computer.

A total of 5 network connections is allowed to an XP Home computer, including shared folders. Apparently something else is trying up two of the available connections.

Thanks for getting back to me..
My network only consists of 5 computers exculding the windows xp Home
computer. Is there any way of checking if something is tying up the other two
available connections...

Due to the login limitations in XP Home your best solution might be to
use a Network Storage device. Linksys has one that supports 2 USB
hard drives (Model NSLU2) and Maxtor has a complete package (Maxtor
Shared Storage). Either one should work quite well for storing shared
files.

Good luck
