we are unable to get another laptop that we have to boot up,the Toshiba
laptop starts to boot up with the green lights running across the screen but
then freezes.the only way out thenis to switch of by holding down the power
control key.i have started the laptop in safe mode but being a computer
novies i dont know what to do to repair the faultif possible any help
please. Mike

In safe mode just restore to a time before this started happening for
starters. When you get into safe mode last time it should have automatically
asked you if you wanted to use system restore - this time say yes and go
back to a time prior to this problem.
