Windows XP Home on a VPN

Hello,

Heard from my new company that if my PC is running Windows XP Home that it won't be able to connect to our VPN. I thought this was a bit strange, has anyone heard the same?
 
XP Home can be a VPN client or run VPN client software. The issue they are referring to may be that
XP Home can not join a domain.

Thank you. Didn't realize Home was unable to join a Domain. That's good to know. Sucks cause it means I'm gonna have to upgrade to XP Pro instead and cost more, but glad I found out now.
