Windows XP Home Edition - Slideshow

I just obtained Laptop (Toshiba Satelitte A35S159) and
loaded pictures from my other computer in "My Pictures"

I went to do a "slideshow"
Help says to go to "Start""My Pictures" and then
Under "Picture Tasks" to click "View as a Slideshow"

I can't find either Picture Tasks or View as Slideshow.
Can you tell me how to open the Toolbar that holds these
task?

I went into "Views" - Tool bars - Customize and can
not find anything relating to "Picture Tasks"

Can you direct me on what I'm doing wrong? The HELP
section doesn't get me there????

I tried running "arrow" across screen as HELP section
directed and nothing happened Edythe
 
Hi Edythe,

This could be happening for a number of reasons. First let's make sure you
have the Task pane enabled. When you open the My Pictures folder, do you
have a pane on the right that has 3 sections?

If not, in that window, click Tool -> Folder Options.
Under the Tasks box on the General Tab, check the button for "Show common
tasks in folders"
Click Ok.
This should now give you a pane on the right w/ Picture Tasks, Other Places,
and Details.

If not or if you already had this pane to start with, do the following.
Right click your My Pictures folder -> select Properties.
Click on the Customize tab. Change the "Use this folder type as a
template:" to Pictures of Photo Album.
Check the box to apply the template to subfolders as well.
Click Ok.

Let me know if this doesn't work for you.
