windows xp home edition instalation disc

Hi, where can i get another xp home edition instalation disc?
i lost original xp home disc and am running xp pro but looks like its a
copy because i cant get all the updates from microsoft!
i still have xp home product key on top of computer case but no disc to
reinstall!
Do i have to buy another disc and if so,how much are they? or is there
a cheaper alternative?

Is this a copy of WIndows that came with your computer? If so, it's an OEM
copy, and your recourse is with the manufacturer, not Microsoft. Contact
your vendor for advice.

Is this a copy of WIndows that came with your computer? If so, it's a

yes it came with the computer but was bought from time computers wh
im sure dont exist anymore !! The store i bought it from closed abou
a year and a half ago

You may be out of luck, then, and have to buy another copy. As I understand
Microsoft's official policy, they won't help you, but it doesn't hurt to
call them and ask. Maybe you'll be lucky.
 
Hi, where can i get another xp home edition instalation disc?
Time are back under thew names Timeuk and Time Computers. They are still
owned by the same family that owned Granville Technologies of original Time
and Tiny fame (or infamy if you prefer) but on their website
http://pcs.timeuk.com/aboutus/
they seem to say they are half supporting old customers but it appears to be
a promise to assist within the original 12 month warranty period plus a
"special rate" for other customers of the original Time. There is a phone
number and another website to try.
May be worth a try but OEM software may no longer be supported and I won't
hold my breath!

IF its a Time or Tiny branded PC I may (stress MAY) be able to help
with a recovery CD
