Windows XP home edition dsl connection issue

I seem to have a problem in that I'm always prompted for a password when
making a dsl connection.

I'm using the Windows XP home edition internet connection for my dsl
connection.

My user id is always defaulted but not my password. Is there a way to store
my password so I don't have to enter it each time I do a dsl connection?

Thanks

I did got XP Pro to remember the password rather easily.
But I have been connected via a router for almost 2 years now, so the exact
details of what I did are long gone. I see no reason that XP Home works any
differently from XP Pro.

Try "How to Use PPPoE in Windows XP"

<http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_pppoe.htm>

Look at Question #2: "How do I get PPPoE in Windows XP to log in
automatically on boot?"
