Windows XP Home Connecting to Windows Server 2003

Is there anything special I need to do to set up a laptop
with Windows XP Home to connect with Server 2003? Any
special software required since I don't see any network
connectivity options available.

There are no symptoms - I'm just inquiring because I
didn't see anything under the Networking Wizard that
referenced connecting to an office network - only the
Internet and a home networking option. I was trying
a "dry run" to configure for connection to an MS Server -
just threw 2003 out there as a reference. How far "back"
does XP connect, if it does - the older server versions,
is what I mean. Thanks so much for your information.

And to clarify even more - I'm talking about a physical
connection by way of an ethernet cable. Don't know that I
explained that beforehand.

With W2K+3, you are probably running a domain; XP HE cannot join
a domain. That XP HE laptop can access individual resources in a
domain, but it is a PITA and you will probably decide to upgrade
to XP PRO.
