On boot up computer screen hits blue screen just long enough to
aggrevate then tries to boot again. Cycles through this process 3 to 4
times. Look in error file and have the following:

The computer has rebooted from a bug check. The bugcheck was
0x0000022(0x000202efr). 0x836816f0, 0x83691638, 0x38343e7e8. A dump was
saved .......

All error msg are cryptic at best. Don't ya just love MS. Still can't
even come close but still make is so you almost must purchase their
garbage. Ya I'm angry.

Any help on this?

TIA

Installed any new hardware recently? If so, is the hardware
compatible with Windows itself and specifically Windows XP?

As Ghostrider said, it's likely a new piece of hardware. Remember that,
while you may not have recently installed or update hardware, you may have
done so since you last rebooted.

Try using F8 to go into Safe Mode or Last Known Good. Timing is
important--start pressing F8 every second or thereabouts as soon as you see
the black screen. It's easy to miss the proper time to press F8.
