T TECHGUNS Joined Aug 14, 2005 Messages 266 Reaction score 0 Aug 29, 2005 #2 Ya can trouble shoot click on start - run in the box type msconfig A config utility will popup, in it will be startup and you can control background programs the startup from there. If you like freeware this one does the same thing. http://www.snapfiles.com/get/startupinspector.html Another way to trouble shoot hit F8 during a boot like going to safe mode you will see a way to let programs not startup by selecting Y or N.

Is the computer name and workgroup the same in XP and 2003. I think the other PCs will have a hard time if its different with the same net card address. Rephraze The net card has an IP address that dosent change and the other PCs will freak out if that net cards IP suddenly has another computer name. I think this is what your trying to say the problem is. Try to give a little more detail because someone will know how to work around it. Is it the sever ect. I wanted to try this myself post back.
