My windows XP system will "hang" when I try to go into standby mode. Happens about 50% of the time. It just stays on (hard drive on, etc), but it won't come back to state before going into standby. Pls help

I terribly need help.I just bought a new desktop on the last december.It's an intel pentium 4 with window xp pro.I started to experience a problem not long after that.Everytime when i'm connected to the internet my computer will hang.This problem usually occurs a few minutes after I've connected.I suspect it's because of kazaa (a program i use to download free songs) as this program is advertisement supported and I learn that my computer has already been set to block advertisement automatically.Is it because both of these programs crash and therefore my computer hang?? But why all of my friends who use kazaa too don't experience this problem??Do i have to contact the distributor while my computer is still on warranty??And ironically,my computer works prefectly fine and never experience "hanging" when i'm not online.....someone please help me!!!!

Hi Vincent,
You might want to check the setting of your pop-up block, anti-virus and firewall to see if they are causing the problem.
BTW, those 'free songs' are not free they are pirated. If you would like to download LEGAL music, check out something like
eMusic or MusicMatch.
