Windows XP hanging up upon startup

I am running Windows XP Home and it recently started
hanging up upon PC startup (takes about 2-3 min to load).
Anything I can do about this?

Have you installed any new software or hardware lately, made any other
changes in settings?

Yes, I have installed Norton Systemworks, Internet
Security and a digital camera.

I would remove the applications one at a time, then reboot and see if you
have the same issue. If I had to guess, Norton Internet Security would be
the culprit. If you find that to be the case, you might want to check their
website and/or contact their tech support, www.symantec.com.
