windows xp gaming problem "janes f-15"

I currently own an alienware laptop with a windows xp
professinal operating system. I own a old game called
janes f-15 and after installing it on my new system the
game kept hanging up. The graphics on the game did not
look right either, it looked choppy. My system has all
the latest direct x 9.0 support and I also have the
latest nvida grahics card for laptops. The game was
designed to run on windows 95. Is there a patch or
remedy for this problem? Can the game run on windows xp
professinal? Is there anyone who knows how to fix this
problem?
 
Right click on the games icon on your desk top then click
on properties. there should be a a place in there where
you can run the game as if xp was win95. you might have
to dig around for it....
