Any ideas why one XP Pro PC out of several has to every morning be rebooted
after turning it on as it can't see the domain? On the Win2k server in
event logs it says that the PC is forcing an MB election. When the PC is
rebooted there is no problem and if you reboot it again it still isn't a
problem. However, leave the machine off for an hour or so and then turn it
on and low and behold it tries to be the MB again and therefore can't see
the domain until its rebooted.

I would love some help on this one guys pls...

I'm sorry, but I don't know why the PC causes a master browser
election at some times but not at others.

However, I can tell you how to prevent if from ever causing an
election: disable the Computer Browser service.
