Dear Friends:
I had a corruption of XP files yesterday, wouldn't boot, so after having a
pro shop clean the laptop's contacts I performed a REPAIR of XP , booting
with the original XP cd. The Firewall icon in the bottom toolbar
disappeared, so I investigated. I received a message: "Unidentified problem,
can't display firewall settings."
That's not acceptable for obvious reasons.
Can anyone please tell me how to restore that Firewall icon and activity? I
have not yet found a LIVE Microsoft or XP tech connection to deal with this
like there is for AOL support and probably others. Does one exist? Thanks!
