Hi

With NT4 and 2000, I always used to use the file search
to find text files containing text, such as ".c"
or ".pas" files containing certain function calls.

This does not work with Windows XP, and I cannot figure
out why. For example, every Delphi ".pas" file has "unit"
in the first few lines, but if i do a file search
on "*.pas" files containing "unit", it finds nothing. I
have also tried "*unit*" etc.

It took me ages just to find a place to ask this
question, after being sent around in circles by the
microsoft support pages, so forgive me if this is not the
right place.

And yes, I have let Windows update do it's thing and
update my machine.

Thank you

Hi Reuben,

Follow this advice and create a PersistentHandler for that filetype. Use {5e941d80-bf96-11cd-b579-08002b30bfeb}, if and only if it is a plain-text file. More Information at:
