The Fax Console is not managing my outgoing & incoming
faxes nor is it showing my sent faxes. The message at
the bottom of the screen says the fax printer is
inaccessible yet I do print to the fax. The fax monitor
is not working properly either. It doesn't show any
faxes coming in or going out. Why is this software not
working right & how can we fix it? Please advise. Thank
you.

I'm having this problem too. When I try to fax, the Fax
wizard says "the fax server information cannot be
retrieved, will close now". When I go to the Fax console,
it says, "all fax printers are inaccessible" and I can't
see any of my old faxes. When I try to configure the fax
( do I even need to ?) it says "A connection to the fax
server can't be made" and when I go to Fax Printer
Configuration it says, "The requested operation can't be
completed. Check the connection to the fax printer and
the fax printer configuration".

I've been using the fax for months with no problems. I
didn't think it was a Shared Fax Driver but this seems to
be all the Fax Console is looking at. It says "The
Microsoft Shared Fax Driver is not installed on this
computer. Some printer properties will not be accessible
unless you install the print driver. Do you want to
install the print driver now?" If I say no it takes me to
a Fax Properties window, with not much info in it. If I
say yes, I can't figure out what print driver in the list
I'm supposed to be installing.

Why is this happening and how do I fix it? Thank you.
