You can use NTFS (not "nt") or FAT32. Unless you have a compelling
reasson to use FAT32, use NTFS.

You can use either or both.

Personally, I wouldn't even consider using FAT32 when NTFS is an
option. FAT32 has no security capabilities, no compression
capabilities, no fault tolerance, and a lot of wasted hard drive space
on volumes larger than 8 Gb in size. But your computing needs may
vary, and there is no hard and fast answer.

The choice is between FAT32 and NTFS (not "nt").

Both XP Home and Professional can use either. You can even use
both simultaneously, on different drives or partitions (and also
FAT16 and FAT12).

Unless you're dual booting with an older operating system without
NTFS support, almost everyone should choose NTFS.
