We have recently implemented OSPF on our network for automatic fail over of
WAN links. We have 2 routers on our LAN, when the default gateway detects
that the wireless link is down it re-routes traffic through the diginet
lines. However the windows clients (XP SP2, SP3 & Vista SP1) will not go
through. When doing a route print on the computers I noticed that there is a
route to the remote subnet via the secondary router, not via the default
gateway. How is windows getting this route in its routing table and how can I
prevent it from doing so in future to allow the client machines to only use
the default gateway?
